Absolutely, yes, it is advantageous to turn clothes inside out before washing. It keeps them from rubbing against other clothing as much, so they experience less wear, so they look newer (pill & fade less, esp along seams) for longer. I’ve tried to wash all our clothes inside out for decades. Whenever I or family members miss something or just don’t care, it looks worse bc it wasn’t turned inside out. With too many clothes in the washer, the clothes will not tumble, which means your clothes will not have the needed mechanical friction to scrub the clothes and at the end of the cycle, the only difference you will notice is you will still have a washer full of dirty clothes, but they will be all wet.
You will need to turn the t-shirt on the wrong side and wash separate on “low water level”. Then wash it by selecting a gentle, delicate, or handwash cycle. The lighter wash cycles are labeled different on every machine; depending on brand. Last, hang your shirt(s) on hanger(s) to air dry because thread can rip in dryers too. Oxi-Clean Max Force is the best product I have ever found for removing oil or grease stains from clothes. Spray it onto the stains until they are saturated. Allow to rest for 12–24 hours. Then wash the clothes normally in the hottest water they can stand. Look at them when they come out of the washer. Are there still visible remnants of the stains? If so, repeat the process another one or two times. By the third time your stains should be gone. If not, there is no harm in continuing the effort, but some part of the staining may be permanent.
