There are different ways of getting designs onto t-shirts, screen printing, DTG, transfers, embroidery, etc., and they all require different and specific ways of designing the files. …your designer should* know this, and what’s more, you should know it as well, or at least know enough to tell them what process will be used in order to work towards it. *if your designer doesn’t know these things, find a different designer. If they neglect to ask about these things, that should be a red flag. Again, you’ll be wasting their time and yours if you go too far down a path that is heading in the wrong direction. You want to create new designs for your t-shirt brand but either doesn’t have the design skills or can’t hire a designer full-time, you have two options to choose from.
