Plastisol ink is the most traditional ink. If you’ve seen a vintage shirt from the ’80s with a cracked print, that’s plastisol. Technology has improved and made this ink longer lasting. Don’t let the name fool you: we’re able to accomplish soft prints with this ink by using a reducer and a screen with a finer mesh that can almost match the softness of our water-based and discharge. Cricut Infusible Ink works best on polyester and poly blend fabrics. A 100% cotton shirt will not work well as the heat set process of the ink in Infusible Ink products needs to bond to a poly material. You can use t-shirts (and other fabric items) that are not Cricut brand, just make sure they are at least 50–60% poylester for best results. Note: always do a heat test before pressing your design.
What is the image like that you are wanting to transfer, and what is the colour of T-shirt you wish to transfer on to? I’m unsure whether or not you can get it in Canada but Jet Pro Soft Stretch (JPSS) is the best paper in my opinion for home use on light coloured T-shirts. I’ve tested around 20 different inkjet transfer papers and this came out on top after washes. It has very little ‘feel’ to it so the transferred image feels as much like the t-shirt as possible. It also gets softer after washing and doesn’t fade as much as other do! Depending on the image you want to transfer, and the colour of t-shirts you are transferring too will be a factor! If you can provide more information, I would be happy to tell you the best paper for the job. Yes, experts have discovered a fantastic approach to sublimate on dark shirts without using an under-base, Sublimation on dark fabric
The last service I used would also print the tshirt for me and was about$15–20 dollars per t-shirt for a small quantity. Not exactly, just try to sponge wash the shirt with mild soap to get the smell of body odor out of it! But this seems like a trick question. Most people don’t Iron their shirts, they send them to the dry cleaners! So I guess you’re on your own! water-based ink is a translucent formula that is extremely soft. It feels like a part of the shirt once you wash it. Discharge ink is water-based ink with a chemical additive that removes the dye of your shirt and replaces it with your ink color. It generally only works with 100% cotton shirts and is a good option to maintain their breathability.
