The fit of a drop shoulder is a relaxed fit which gives a wider range of arm movement. It has a longer shoulder seam and a shorter sleeve cap. The sleeve cap is the top seam of the sleeve which fits into the armhole (also known as the armscye) That being said, technically many short sleeved shirts being called t-shirts in the stores that sell them are not technically true “t-shirts”. I would like to add that usually the armhole does have a little shaping but not as much as it would have for a fitted sleeve.
